John K. Horany strives to serve the
public good by working to protect private clients (those who
are harmed by others), by pro bono legal work and by leadership
in public service.

The Dallas Legal Hospice is a non-profit legal services organization
that provides timely and compassionate legal services to low-income
people who have HIV/AIDS, cancer or other terminal diseases.
American Library Association's Freedom to Read Foundation
2001 Roll of Honor Award for successfully handling a case involving censorship of children's books.
Elected as Trustee of the Freedom to Read Foundation in May 2006 for 2006-2008.
