John K. Horany strives to serve the public good by working to protect private clients (those who are harmed by others), by pro bono legal work and by leadership in public service.

American Library Association's Freedom to Read Foundation
2001 Roll of Honor Award for successfully handling a case involving censorship of children's books. Elected as Trustee of the Freedom to Read Foundation in May 2007 for 2007-2009.
